It's beginning to seem that way after hearing he was escorted out of the building last week. Hasn't been seen on the air since.

Interesting....I was wondering why I had not heard him on the weather forecasts on KFAB lately. I don't watch Omaha local news casts anymore so I wouldn't have caught it that way. If so, he has to have had close to 30 years on Omaha TV.

Things are really heating up on this front. Tom Becka (KOIL 1290) announced Flowers had been fired. The WOWT Facebook page has been blowing up ever since - and the station is no longer saying, "Jim is on vacation" in replies.

At 5:30 a.m., the day after Christmas, WOWT posted this message on its Facebook page: "WOWT has informed Jim Flowers that it does not intend to enter into a new agreement for his services when his current agreement expires on December 31, 2012. WOWT appreciates Jim’s contributions to WOWT and thanks him for his many years of service."

Raise your hand if you think we'll see Jim on the air bidding farewell to the masses.

Cherly Lemke is a familiar name from the weather channel.

I seem to recall she's originally from Omaha, but don't know if she worked weather here or not.

Can we assume the KMTV promos for a mystery person to be announced June 1 is indeed Jim Flowers?

I suspect that he is still under contract until then which would be the reason for the timing and mystery.
